Automation, switching, dashboards, and RF systems.
Node‑RED is the central automation layer at W7GES. It brings antenna routing, amplifier control, rotator control, and AC/DC power management to one screen.
Single and combined antenna selection, TX/RX selection, band‑dependent routing with visual feedback. Two separate flows — one for each SO2R radio.
Amplifiers follow band changes instantly. Antennas switch to the last‑used antenna on that band for the chosen radio. Two flows: PGXL and Alpha 9500.
Two Digital Loggers Web Switches — one in the shack, one in the tower base cabinet. DC supplies, amplifier power, and shack AC power are managed from these flows.
Controls two rotors. A custom flow displays antenna azimuth on an orthographic globe centered on my location. Click the map or use buttons to select direction.
Each radio has its own flow. Anan G2: VFO frequency, mode, split, TCP status, and connection messages. TS‑890: VFO/mode/split plus a UDP‑driven spectrum window display.
The MOAS server integrates with N1MM or LOG4OM to provide high‑speed messaging between radios, amplifiers, and switching hardware. This enables near‑instantaneous response to band changes and ensures safe, reliable routing.
VA6AM high‑power filters for 160–10m, providing SO2R isolation and clean RF. High‑power triplexers for each JK tribander (20/15/10m).
Large touchscreen Node‑RED interface for controlling the entire station locally or remotely via VPN.
Software ties together radios, amplifiers, stack matches, and switching hardware.
